Geoff Howard took another Wintergreen title today by taking out first timer Rav "Sandy" Singh 4 and 3 . $275 1st $75 second. Bryan Moody, Ron McCosh have $25 at the Pro Desk for 3rd place. Matt Price took the $120 "B"side and Grant Nevison $40 was runner up. This is my last chore as the outgoing and amazing Club Captain for the last two years. Josh Freisen will take the reins for the next couple of years. Thanks Josh and all the best, you have my support as I hope you have all members support!

After lengthy discussions with management and reviewing the weather forecast... we have decided to move the Men's Night Wind-Up Tournament to Thursday September 28th. The forecast for Sept. 14th is calling for a 90% likelihood of precipitation with a high temperature of 5 degrees Celsius. The wind chill factor suggests it will "feel like 3 degrees Celsius", and that is not pleasant to golf in. Furthermore, there is a strong possibility of snow in the mountains on Wednesday evening which could "impact the foothills through to the Springbank area". A big Shout Out to Kit Roberts for organizing our Inter Club Season this year! Kit knows all the players to well and saved us many times with the reminder emails. The plus 55 team rewarded Kit with a 5th place finish, pretty good considering the heavy bags of sands we had to deal with:) Way to go guy's, let's have a great showing in High River!

Our first Mixed tournament the Stampede Two Step Mixed Open was a great fun event for those who attended. 30 players sashayed down Wintergreen fairways two at a time:) I would like to thank Rav for pairing up three single Ladies with three single Fella's. It was good to see Di and Norm Vosburgh at Wintergreen playing with Diane and Jack Averill, long time friends! There were 6 non member teams that joined the fun. A big thanks goes out to Rhiannon Evison for suggesting and helping organizing the event:) To bad so many couples that golf together at Wintergreen missed
