Rules of Play

The Rules of golf apply at all times. To encourage “pace of play” gimmie putts will be allowed for Men’s Night, but the gimmie must be “within the leather of a standard putter” and the group must agree. THERE WILL BE NO GIMMIES FOR DEUCES! All games are set for the front 9 unless otherwise indicated on that evenings information sheet.

Handicaps

Players will tee off from the appropriate tee for their handicap. Full handicaps apply unless otherwise determined by the game coordinator. A handicap committee is in place and will be monitoring scores entered throughout the year.

Nightly Cost – $10.00 (CASH ONLY). The fee for each Men’s Night will be $10, with all the money to be used for nightly prizes. $ 5.00 for Deuce and Gold Pots, cash payout.

Inclement Weather

If weather conditions become dangerous (lightening), the Golf Shop will blow an air horn to signal all players to halt play. At this point, we ask all players to mark their position on the golf course and seek shelter as soon as possible. Once conditions improve the horn will blow again (2 bursts) to resume play. In the event that Men’s Night has to be cancelled, we will put all names into a draw and hand out the nightly prizes in the lounge on a draw basis.

Booking Tee Times

Tee sheet will open up at 6:00 am (on-line) 10 days prior to the next Men’s Night for members and 7 days prior for non-members and can be booked through the on-line component of Jensess booking system (see link on this website) or you can call the Pro Shop directly.

Non Members and Guest Policy

Members can bring any number of guests per night. The League green fee is applicable along with the $10 Men’s Night registration fee. Guests and non-members must have a registered RCGA handicap factor, or in the case where a factor is not available, 75% of an assumed handicap will be assigned by the Pro Shop.

Deuce Pot and Pot Of Gold

To win or share the “Deuce Pot” a player must score a gross 2 on any hole. A “Hole in One” gets half of the “Deuce Pot” to help pay for the beer!

To win the pot of gold you must make the lowest gross score on the pre-determined hole for that evening. If there is no winner, the pot of gold will be carried over to the next week. If there are no winners for a number of weeks, the pot of gold for that hole will be capped, and a second pot of gold will be started on a second pre-determined hole. If there is any pot of gold money not won by the end of the season, it will be awarded vis draw prize(s) at the Men’s League Wind-Up (date to be determined).

Proximity Prizes

Proximity prizes will be awarded for designated holes each night.
